County Junior Choir  View Rehearsal/Concert Schedule   Little Cloister House, Gloucester Cathedral  www.gloucestercathedral.org.uk Saturdays 10.30 - 12.00. No audition required. Contact an Administrator.

The County Junior Choir is made up of a group of children aged between 7 and 16 who meet under the supervision of Russell Burton a lay clerk at Gloucester Cathedral and a local singing teacher, and Rachel Gay and Vicky Barnes-Moffatt both of whom work as singing teachers for Gloucestershire Music. Termly Concerts involve partnerships with other County Music Groups and local primary schools together with performances of specially commissioned works. Concerts involve fund raising for local charities. Performances have included: Christmas Concerts in the Cathedral and Cheltenham Town Hall, appearances with English Touring Opera in Gloucester Cathedral performing Jonathan Dove's opera 'Tobias and the Angel', and a performance of David Fanshaw's 'African Sanctus' with Cheltenham Bach Choir in Cheltenham Town Hall.  The choir is run in collaboration with Gloucester Cathedral and Gloucestershire Music. No audition necessary, just enthusiasm!
