Music is a friendly, forward looking and well established
local authority music service located in one of the most
beautiful areas of England with excellent transport links,
schools and amenities.
We are looking for an experienced full time Assistant Head
of Service from September 2008 to oversee our teaching in
schools and contribute to the strategic development of the
service. You will have significant senior management
experience at a strategic level within a music service,
excellent communication skills and a wide experience as a
teacher and performing musician.

Director of Five Valleys
Learn as You Play bands
Directors Rate salary £31.88 per hour
Required for September 2008 a suitably qualified and experienced
musician to direct the two “Learn as you Play” bands based at
Five Valleys Music Centre in Stroud on Saturday mornings (total
time 3 ¼ hours for 30 weeks). Learn as you Play bands and
orchestras have been developed by Gloucestershire Music for
adults who wish to learn from scratch within the social context
of a group.
Many of the participants are parents of students at the centre.
The successful candidate will be experienced in working with and
designing teaching and learning opportunities for keen amateur
beginners.
