Gloucestershire Young  Musician 2008

I was born in Cheltenham and began playing the piano at the age of six. I attended St.James' and Pate's Grammar School, as well as Birmingham Conservatoire Junior Department on Saturdays for two years.

I studied with Geoff Mann in Cheltenham and with Magdalena Nasidlak in Birmingham.
During my time at Pate's and the Conservatoire I had many opportunities to perform in recitals and chamber music concerts.

I enjoy many different kinds of music. When it comes to classical music, I am particularly interested in art songs and early 20th century piano works.

I am currently in my first year as an undergraduate at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, studying with Graeme McNaught. Since joining I have taken part in chamber music groups and piano duets, as
well as working with singers.

I hope for a career in solo and chamber music performance.
